‘America’s Got Talent’ 12: Darci Lynne Farmer, Angelica Hale Face Off In Finals
“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 frontrunners Darci Lynne Farmer and Angelica Hale will be facing off against each other in the grand finals.
On Tuesday night, two young contestants are expected to give their performances their all so one of them could bring home the $1 million grand prize. There have been predictions that either Darci or Angelica could become this season’s winner.
Darci Lynne is a 13-year-old singing ventriloquist who has brought different puppets to the show. During her audition, she received judge Mel B’s golden buzzer. The Spice Girls member predicted that Darci Lynne could win it all, and fellow judge Simon Cowell agreed with her.
Angelica, on the other hand, is a 10-year-old singer who has impressed the judges and audiences with her impressive falsettos. She received guest judge Chris Hardwick’s golden buzzer, and judge Heidi Klum admitted during the semifinals round that she is her favorite. Fellow judge Howie Mandel thinks that Angelica “is in it to win it.”
But Darci Lynne and Angelica are not the only two contestants who have a chance of winning $1 million and headlining shows in Las Vegas. Singer Evie Clair, 13, recently lost her dad to stage 4 colon cancer so she is expected to sing her heart out on stage on Tuesday night.
Dog act Sara & Hero have also won the hearts of America not only because of the dog’s adorable stunts, but also because of Sara’s touching story. Other contestants who will be performing include comedian Preacher Lawson, singers Chase Goehring, Mandy Harvey and Kechi Okwuchi, dance troupes Light Balance and Diavolo.
But even though only one contestant could win, the others who made it to the show could also headline their shows or may be invited to perform live. For instance, Season 12 contestant Celine Tam recently sung in the “Ellen Show” and in front of talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres.
However, it was still last year’s winner, Grace Vanderwaal, who did not only appear in the “Ellen Show,” performed in Las Vegas and brought home the cash prize. She also released an EP three months after her big win and will be releasing a full-length album on Nov. 3.
“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
