‘America’s Got Talent’ 12: Celine Tam Performs On ‘Ellen Show’ After Elimination
Celine Tam may have been eliminated from “America’s Got Talent” Season 12, but the 9-year-old contestant had the chance to perform on the “Ellen Show.”
During her appearance, Tam sung “How Far I’ll Go” from the Disney movie, “Moana.” It was the same song that she performed during Tuesday night’s semifinals. Judge Simon Cowell told Tam that she couldn’t have sung the song any better that night. Heidi Klum also praised her control, but Mel B didn’t share the same sentiments. The Spice Girls member told Tam that the song was just too big for her.
A day later, Tam was one of the six contestants who were sent home. But even if she did not make it to the grand finals, the Hong Kong native had a blast living the life in Los Angeles. On her Instagram account, Tam revealed that she’s leaving the city, but did not say if she will be returning to Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, Tam is not new to performing live in front of huge crowds. In 2015, she guest-starred in “Little Big Shots” with Jeffrey Li after their “You Raise Me Up” duet went viral on YouTube. She also auditioned in “Britain’s Got Talent” Season 10 and made it past the first stage, but she never made it to the live shows. Throughout the past couple of months, Tam has also performed in a number of shows and charitable events in Hong Kong and China.
In other news, Tam also made headlines following Wednesday night’s result show after she walked on stage when Christian Guardino was called. Some viewers thought that the singer made a mistake when she simply helped Guardino walk towards the “x” mark. The 16-year-old contestant was formerly completely blind and loses his vision whenever he is stressed out.
On her Instagram account, Tam also thanked her supporters for believing in her. She also reminded them of helping those who are in need. She is also looking forward to seeing Guardino again since he also did not make it to the grand finals.
“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
