‘America’s Got Talent’ 12: Evie Clair, Mirror Image Gear For Live Show

Evie Clair and Mirror Image are getting ready to give the judges and viewers of “America’s Got Talent” Season 12 a totally different performance on Tuesday night.

Clair first won the hearts of the judges of the NBC reality show during her audition when she sang a beautiful rendition of Christina Perri’s “Arms.” She received four yesses from judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel and made them feel emotional with her story. The 13-year-old singer revealed that her dad is battling Stage 4 cancer and said that she tries to make him feel better by singing to him.

But during the judge cuts round, Clair failed to impress Cowell. Even though she also sang a touching version of Macy Gray’s “I Try,” Cowell said that he felt Clair was a bit off key throughout her entire performance. But in the end, the young talent still made it to the quarterfinals.

In her pre-performance interview, Clair shared that her biggest inspiration is her mom because she works as a music teacher and has taught a high school band. Growing up, Clair was exposed to her mom giving music lessons to some students in their home and that’s how she started feeling passionate about it.

Meanwhile, twin brothers Colton and Trent Edwards, who go by the name Mirror Image, will also be performing at the Dolby Theater on Tuesday night. The singing and dancing duo have given the judges and viewers energetic routines. The Pittsburgh natives sang and dance during their audition, which Cowell did not really like. The judge didn’t also become a huge fan of their act in the judge cuts, but Klum and Mel B had fun watching them.

In their interview, the brothers shared that their mom is also their biggest inspiration, especially after she battled breast cancer. Their mom also taught them to live their lives to the fullest and treat it as if it were their last. This is the very reason why they also give their performances their all.

Clair and Mirror Image will be joined by 10 other acts on Tuesday night. However, only six of them will make it to the semifinals.
