‘America’s Got Talent’ 12: Will Mandy Harvey, Johnny Manuel Head To Semifinals?

“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 will air its second live episode on Tuesday night, and singers Mandy Harvey and Johnny Manuel are just two of the 12 who will perform.

A few months ago, judge Simon Cowell gave 29-year-old singer Harvey his golden buzzer, after she impressed with her singing despite being completely deaf. Cowell predicted that big things would be in store for Harvey in the future, especially since she has a “nice voice” and a “wonderful personality.” uesday night’s episode will mark Harvey’s first performance in the hit NBC reality TV competition since the auditions, since golden buzzer recipients head straight to the live shows.

Meanwhile, Johnny Manuel also received a golden buzzer from guest judge Seal during the final judge cuts round. During his audition, Manuel wowed all four judges with his version of Whitney Houston’s hit song, “I Have Nothing.” During the judge cuts however, the former recording artist sang a Stevie Wonder song that Cowell did not like. The music producer asked Manuel to sing his audition piece so he could give his voice some justice. Once he did, Seal was sold on giving him the final golden buzzer of the season.

In last week’s first live show, six contestants went through to the semifinals, four of whom were singers. Mel B’s golden buzzer pick Darci Lynne Farmer, guest judge Chris Hardwick’s choice Angelica Hale, Miami singer Yoli Mayor and Howie Mandel’s golden buzzer recipient Christian Guardino, all made it through. They were joined by roller skaters Billy & Emily England and comedian Preacher Lawson.

On Tuesday night, singers Evie Clair, The Masqueraders, Celine Tam and Angelina Green will also be performing at the Dolby Theater. They will be joined by dog act The Pompeyo Family, the Light Balance dance act, robotic dancer Merrick Hanna, escape artist Demian Aditya, and twin dancers and singers Mirror Image.

By the looks of it, several singers will once again make it through to the semifinals, since Green Tam, Harvey and Manuel were all golden buzzer recipients.

“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
