‘America’s Got Talent’ 12: Mike Yung, Billy And Emily England Thank Fans
“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 contestants Mike Yung and Billy and Emily England may have been eliminated from the competition, but they have nothing but gratitude for their fans.
Following their performances last week, Yung sent his supporters some love and thanked them for reminding him that dreams do come true. Yung, who has been singing and performing in the subway for several years, made a mark during his audition in the hit NBC reality TV competition. The 56-year-old won the hearts of the judges, especially Simon Cowell who wondered why they ever gave an age limit and prevented some talented performers from appearing on the show after his impressive audition.
Yung managed to make it past the judge cuts and quarterfinals round, but unfortunately, he didn’t survive the semifinals. Prior to host Tyra Banks’ announcement, Yung was called on stage with 12-year-old ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer, who has been a crowd favorite throughout the entire season. Banks then announced that it was Farmer who will head to the grand finals.
Meanwhile, Billy and Emily England have also been very consistent with their performances. The siblings were first seen by Cowell on a different show, and he personally asked them to try out for “America’s Got Talent” Season 12. The duo, who has been doing death-defying acts, impressed the judges over the recent weeks. Unfortunately, they also did not make it past the semifinals round.
But the Englands proved how great they truly are when they told their fans that they are grateful for the love and support they have received from them. Emily added that “America’s Got Talent” definitely changed her and her brother’s life. Billy also dubbed the reality TV competition as “the greatest show in the world.”
Just like Yung and the Englands, there were several other acts that did not make it to the grand finals. Singers Yoli Mayor and Johnny Manuel were booted off, together with DaNell Damon & Greater Works. Magician Eric Jones wasn’t saved by the judges in the Dunkin Save. Those who made it included Evie Clair, Farmer, Sara & Hero, Preacher Lawson and Chase Goehring.
“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
