‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 12: Which Eliminated Act Could Become Wild Card?
“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 third judge cuts round aired on Tuesday night, and some contestants were eliminated despite their impressive performances.
Since only seven acts out of the 20 can head on to the live shows, judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel had a tough time deciding which ones should advance and which ones they should let go. Celine Tam, 9, received guest judge Laverne Cox’s golden buzzer. Six other acts got yeses including subway singer Mike Yung. Dance troupes Diavolo and Brobots & Mandroidz also made it through after their electrifying dance numbers.

Unfortunately, daredevil Bello Nock did not receive a yes from the five judges on Tuesday night. Nock shot himself out of a cannon over a helicopter and into an inflatable bull’s eye without wearing any harness. During his audition, Cowell said that he’s not a fan of Nock’s act, but the contestant managed to change his mind by promising him that he would shoot himself out of a cannon.
After his routine, all five judges were impressed, but unfortunately, Nock did not make it through. Roller skaters Billy & Emily England were the ones who were given a chance to advance to the live shows.
Young singer Marisa McKaye impressed the judges with her singing chops, the rasp in her voice making her stand out. The 12-year-old was asked to go on stage by herself during the results. Klum told her that she didn’t make the cut this season. McKaye showed maturity when she told the interviewer that she won’t stop reaching for her dreams no matter what.
Meanwhile, magician Jeki Yoo did not receive a pass from the judges to move forward in the competition. But the South Korea native’s magic trick act also left everyone impressed. Yoo revealed that he traveled to the United States to make his dream come true. After he was told that he has been eliminated, an emotional Yoo said that he feels his American dream will no longer be attained.
All three acts did a wonderful job during the judge cuts round, but will they be asked to return as a wild card in the coming weeks?
