‘America’s Next Top Model’ Season 24, Episode 5 Spoilers: Patrick Starrr Appears

Now that the “America’s Next Top Model” Season 24 contestants mastered the art of the screen test in last episode’s acting challenge, they’re about to have a new on-screen task, thanks to guest star and beauty vlogger Patrick Starrr.

VH1 released a sneak peek of next week’s episode, which features the models competing in a challenge to see who can come up with the best beauty hack and film a vlog about it, with some tips from Starrr himself.

“All of a sudden, we see Patrick Starrr walking down the stairs and it’s very exciting,” Sandra says in the clip. “He has millions of subscribers and millions of followers.”

Starrr explains to the women that social media was what transformed his career and that Tyra Banks was one of his followers, which led to her messaging him and asking to be in a video together. From there, they’re friendship was born.

“Utilize your social media,” Starrr advises. “Don’t be afraid to express yourself, ‘cause life opens up when you do.”

All the models look excited to get started, but one in particular has something really pushing her to do well and win.

“My sister Madison is such a big fan of Patrick Starrr,” Rio says. “She loves beating face, she loves makeup. So I just felt like the stars are aligning because today is her graduation day. I’m going to win this for her.”

That might be a bit easier said that done though because this isn’t an average beauty tutorial with everyday makeup products. Instead, the contestants will be given unconventional items, and they’ll have to come up with a way to use them as beauty tools.

The winning vlog will be put up on Starrr’s channel, and the winner will also be given a “very special advantage in the next photoshoot,” the popular social media star tells them.

For Sandra, she’s not too worried about the challenge. She feels like she has an “advantage” because she’s done makeup tutorials before on YouTube.

Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean her partner will be just as experienced. Yes, that’s right, this isn’t a solo challenge. The models will be working in teams, but there will still only be one winner. Since Krystiana won best photo in the last episode, she gets to pick her team first. She chooses Coura and Brendi K as her teammates. They’ll be the only group of three, while the other models are quickly paired up with simply whoever’s currently sitting next to them.

“This is definitely a challenge,” Rio says after she’s paired with Christina. “Yeah, a challenge.”

Next, the girls look into a bag to find some of the interesting items they’ll have to incorporate in their makeup videos, including a hard-boiled egg for Liberty and Erin, tape for Christina and Rio, razors and shaving cream for KhrystyAna, Coura and Brenda K and condoms for Sandra and Shanice. With items in hand, the girls will only have 30 minutes to get into their teams and plan their beauty hacks.
