Amy Duggar King is opening up about her breastfeeding experience and how it contributed to her "incredible" bond with her son.

The "19 Kids and Counting" alum celebrated World Breastfeeding Week by sharing on Instagram a gallery of photos taken by Morgan Emery that featured her nursing her 22-month-old son, Daxton.

"Love in every drop," King wrote in the caption Friday.

In a new interview with People, the 34-year-old niece of Jim Bob and Michele Duggar admitted she was initially hesitant to try breastfeeding and was "nervous" during her first try.

"For me, I believe fed is best. Let me just be clear about that," King told the outlet. "At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to even try breastfeeding. I was nervous about it. But he latched the moment he was born and we've never looked back."

While she acknowledged that breastfeeding is a "time-consuming" and "at times exhausting" activity that sometimes makes her "feel like a glorified dairy cow," King suggested that the benefits far outweigh the difficulties.

"But what a beautiful journey it is. The bond I have with Daxton is just incredible," she said.

King added that she plans to continue breastfeeding Daxton until he turns 2 years old in two months, but as for whether she will continue after that, the reality star said, "We will see."

She and her husband, Dillon King, tied the knot in September 2015. They welcomed their firstborn four years later via cesarean section on Oct. 9, 2019. Revealing the sex of her baby that June, she told People that she had "always wanted to be a boy mom."

"Dillon builds lifted trucks, so I can just imagine how souped-up the Power Wheels will be. We just can't wait for this little ball of energy to arrive!" King said at the time.

In honor of Daxton's first birthday last year, King posted an emotional message alongside a clip that documented her journey, from the announcement of her pregnancy to her son's latest milestone. The former TLC star said her life changed the day Daxton arrived.

"To the c-section, the vertigo for 8 months, the breastfeeding, the late sleepless nights to the greasy hair, and the giggles ...my heart skips a beat every time he wraps his hand around my finger, his beautiful red hair!!" she wrote.

King admitted that she cried as she watched the slideshow of photos that she had put together and that there were already some things she's going to miss about her son's first year.

However, she also said she "instantly smiled" when her husband reminded her that their son will one day be able to say "I love you" back. "It just got me so excited for our future with him! I'm ready to chase him all over the house!" King continued, adding, "Join me in walking down memory lane what a blessing he truly is! We love you so so much Daxton Ryan!"
