Amy Winehouse's Wedding Dress Stolen 'Deliberately' From London Home [PHOTO]

Amy Winehouse's wedding dress was stolen from her London home where she died last year, her father confirmed to British media.

Burglars broke into the late singer's home where they took two of her dresses, one of which was the frock she wore when she married ex-husband and fellow-addict Blake Fielder-Civil in Miami in 2006.

The white-anchor patterned cotton dress she wore on her wedding day was taken in addition to a newsprint cocktail dress that she wore at a singing event for BBC, her father Mitch Winehouse told the British tabloid The Sun.

The family is devastated over the sad news.

"It's a blow," her father told The Sun. "It's sickening that someone would steal something in the knowledge of its sentimental value."

Not only are the dresses worth a lot in sentiment, but the international star's dresses were expensive too.

The two garments were estimated to be worth more than $200,000 and were supposed to be auctioned off for the Amy Winehouse Foundation.

Her family started the foundation to help treat addicts after their daughter died from an untimely death in July 2011.

According to The Sun the Amy Winehouse Foundation has raised nearly $1.6 million.

Winehouse's London home has became a shrine, and her father believes that those two dresses were probably taken deliberately. But he can only think of two days that the dress could have been stolen, he said to The Sun.

"We are all baffled as to why some of her designer dresses didn't go, too; there were a couple from Dolce & Gabbana worth a fortune," he said. "Her wedding dress was only a little cotton thing, ($160) at best in the shops. Whoever nicked it realized its significance and knew it had an extra value."
