Andi Dorfman Ignores Josh Murray After Tell All Book Controversy On 'Bachelor In Paradise'
Andi Dorfman is so over ex-fiancé Josh Murray. While the former baseball player publicly slams the ex “Bachelorette,” she’s busy soaking up the sun on a yacht.
After Josh bashed his ex on Monday’s episode of ‘“Bachelor in Paradise,” telling Amanda Stanton that dealing with the backlash of the book has been difficult, Andi took to Twitter. Rather than respond to Josh’s comments, she decided to share a few photos from her vacation in Greece. In the pictures the former “Bachelorette” star can be seen sitting on a boat with picturesque views in the background seemingly unbothered by Josh’s attempts to stir up drama.
Josh shared his less than favorable opinions about Dorfman’s book on Monday after making his “Bachelor in Paradise” debut. During the show he and Amanda Stanton formed a connection, which was called into question by Nick Viall, a former “Bachelorette” hopeful who is also interested Amanda and was named in Andi’s book. Nick brought up some of the allegations Andi made about her former fiancé in “It’s Not Okay,” including but not limited to him having been “an emotional abuser.” Nick admitted that the things Andi wrote about him were at least partially rooted in truth, explaining that as such, he believed that what she said about Josh was factual. Josh later opened up to Amanda about the book, admitting that is hasn’t been easy to date since its release. Still, he maintained that he only thinks about the book when it’s brought up to him, telling his potential new love interest that it’s “a fictional story.”
“You have to be a bigger person no matter what kind of lies or egregious things are said about you. You have to try to take the high road...Honestly, it doesn’t affect me at all. God knows what the truth is. Like, that’s all that matters,” he said.
Andi made a number of shocking revelations in “It’s Not Okay.” As was previously reported, she opened up about her career, her time on “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” and more. She wrote that she was forced to put her legal career on the backburner, telling readers that Josh was not keen on the idea of having a working woman as a wife. She went on to say that he even once called her plans “selfish,” which left her questioning their relationship. She also shared that she and Josh’s relationship was not a secure one. Andi said that after revealing to her fiancé that she’d also slept with Nick during “The Bachelorette,” Josh would often taunt her.
“That one sexual escapade would become a power play used by my fiancé to justify his mistrust in me,” she wrote. “It would be an excuse to call me a whore. And it would eventually lead to the demise of my engagement.”
Andi and Josh split in January 2015. The couple had been publicly together for just over five months at the time. Josh popped the question to Andi during the Season 10 finale of “The Bachelorette” in July 2014. While it is clear from reading excerpts from Andi’s book that their relationship was not healthy, the split caught many fans off guard.
