‘The Bachelorette’ 2015 Spoilers: What Happened To Nick Viall During Andi Dorfman’s Season Of 'The Bachelorette'?
Are you done screaming at your TV? Neither are we. After the Season 11 premiere of “The Bachelorette” concluded, fans of the ABC reality show were treated to a preview video that highlights all the drama to come for Kaitlyn Bristowe. While the video teased some upcoming romantic dates and issues with contestants, no one was prepared for what happened next – the return of Nick Viall!
Nick Viall didn’t crash the premiere like fellow “Bachelorette” alum Chris Bukowski did last year, but the former contestant appears to approach Andi in an upcoming episode. For those unfamiliar with Nick, he was considered one of the villains of Andi Dorfman’s Season 10 of “The Bachelorette.” The 34-year-old entered the show as a shy software sales executive from Waukesha, Wisconsin. However by the time Season 10 ended he was hated for hitting Andi “below the belt” and telling the world that they had sex during their Fantasy Suite date.
Sparks immediately flew between Nick and Andi on night one. His limo arrival left a lasting impression on her, and he ended up landing the first impression rose during the premiere.
“Still not quite sure what I did,” he told the cameras at the time. He joked that the only reason he received the rose was because she felt bad about him being so nervous.
As the season progressed, Nick became much more confident in his relationship with Andi. He had his first one-on-one date with Andi in episode 3, and the pair embarked on a romantic bike ride and hike through Santa Barbara. The date ended with their first kiss.
Unfortunately things turned sour for Nick and the rest of the contestants shortly after that. He developed a cocky attitude and acted “salty” when he had to share Andi on a group date. The other contestants found him to be arrogant and smug – and Nick admitting that he was “probably the front runner” didn’t help.
By episode 6 Andi caught on that the other guys had a problem with Nick. However, she didn’t send him home. Instead she had a talk with him and gave him a second chance after her confessed that he was falling in love with her.
While Andi didn’t see it, the guys truly believed that Nick was playing a game. He was always talking about “strategy” instead of “The Bachelorette” and was constantly making sneaky moves to steal extra time with Andi. He made it past Hometown Dates and the Fantasy Suite date with flying colors, blowing Andi away when he confessed his feelings in a “fairy tale” book that he wrote for her. But their fairy tale fell apart in the finale. Andi visited him before the final rose ceremony to break things off with him.
“The last time you got engaged you woke up that morning and you didn’t feel like something was right,” Andi told Nick. “And I woke up this morning and didn’t feel like something was right. And I cant go through with something that I don’t think is right … that the feeling is not right.”
Nick was devastated. He told the cameras that she took things too far and that he really thought she loved him. Andi ended up engaged to Josh Murray, but Nick didn’t give up on her. After filming ended he tried to contact her twice. He finally came face-to-face with her on the “After the Final Rose” ceremony, which is where he made some controversial remarks.
“I’m not sure why you made love to me,” Nick said to his ex during the special. She fired back that his comment was “below the belt” and something that should have stayed privately between them. Nick continued that he didn’t have “any expectations” during the fantasy suite but that they did “fiancé type of stuff.”
“That meant so much to me and I told you that,” he continued. “It wasn’t … it meant something. It meant the world to me. I’ve had to play that in my mind over and over.”
