Andreae Lloyd Update: Family Tracked Boyfriend To Area Where Human Remains Were Found
Cops in Florida found the human remains of missing 27-year-old Andreae Lloyd. The remains were found inside a large metal box typically found on the back of a pickup truck, cops said Wednesday.
Following the discovery of the human remains, authorities have arrested and charged the boyfriend of the pregnant woman who was abducted from a Miami-Dade home. Xavier Johnson was charged with first degree murder, kidnapping and burglary in the case involving Andreae, according to NBC Miami.
Meanwhile, Andreae's family said they tracked her boyfriend to a remote area in Homestead near the intersection of SW 328th Street and SW 137th Avenue, close to where the remains were found.
Andreae's father, Arnold Lloyd said he confronted Johnson, who told him he was looking for Andreae. “He told me she was missing before she even got off of work. She is supposed to get out at 7 and he told me at 6:45. How you know she missing already?" Arnold Lloyd said. "That’s fishy."
The 27-year-old victim's uncle, Manuel Lloyd said that Johnson seemed nervous when he was found at the scene.
“You’ve got a young man that’s out in the bushes, and not knowing what to expect. He probably would’ve expected us to do some damage to him, but that didn’t happen,” Manuel said. “We all got there, held him there until the police got there.”
The pregnant woman was working at a home at 13840 Southwest 285th Terrace when a man knocked on the door Tuesday and Andreae answered it, Miami-Dade police said, according to CBS Local. The man started beating Andreae and dragged her before forcing her into a white Honda Civic with Florida license Y650DL and fleeing the scene, police said. Authorities suspect that this man was her boyfriend, 32-year-old Johnson.
"Based on the evidence gathered by the detectives on scene, video surveillance, it appears that this lady was beaten and it does appear at this time that she was abducted, taken against her will inside of a vehicle," Miami-Dade Police Det. Chris Thomas said as per the NBC Miami report.
Family members said Andreae and the boyfriend had been together for 11 years and have two children together. One of Andreae's family members spotted Johnson near a wooded area off 328th Street and Southwest 137th Avenue in Homestead.
Authorities are yet to confirm publicly if the remains found were that of Andreae Lloyd.
