Andrew Shue Scrubs Wife Amy Robach From Instagram After T.J. Holmes Relationship News
"Good Morning America" anchor Amy Robach's husband, Andrew Shue, has scrubbed all traces of his wife from Instagram following news about her relationship with T.J. Holmes.
On Wednesday, Shue, 55, notably deleted all photos of Robach, 49, from his social media account. The "Melrose Place" alum's IG purge came on the same day photos of Robach and Holmes holding hands in a car surfaced online.
Although speculation has suggested Holmes, 45, and Robach were having an affair, sources told People the "GMA3: What You Need To Know" co-anchors didn't begin dating until after they separated from their spouses.
"This was two consenting adults who were each separated. They both broke up with their spouses in August within weeks of each other," the insider said. "The relationship didn't start until after that."
Robach has been married to Shue since 2011, while Holmes exchanged vows with attorney Marilee Fiebig in 2010.
Other photos published included Holmes and Robach's cozy date at a New York City bar and pictures from a romantic getaway.
"She's got nothing to hide. They were both separated, so they felt very comfortable dating in the open after that," the source added. Their spouses had moved out, even! So they were not hiding anything."
However, hours after numerous PDA-filled pictures circulated online, Robach and Holmes deactivated their Instagram accounts.
The photos that seemingly confirmed the co-anchors were dating left some of their colleagues surprised by the relationship.
"There were rumors they were having an affair about a year ago," another source explained.
"A lot of people believed there might have been some truth to it because you can see there's a mutual affection there. But everyone ultimately chalked it up to friendship because they always said they were both happily married."
Although Holmes and Robach both appeared on the Thursday episode of "GMA3," neither acknowledged the recent photos.
