Google has compiled a list of Android Wear smartwatches that are getting the Oreo-based update once it becomes available to them. Unfortunately, the units that were not included in the list won’t be updated to the latest version of Android Wear anymore.

On Tuesday, Google published a list of smartwatches that are getting the Android 8.0 Oreo version of the Android Wear OS. This list is divided into two: the wearables that are being updated at present and the units that are getting the update in the near future. While this is good news to owners of smartwatches found on the list, it’s the opposite for users of timepieces not included on the list.

According to Android Police, the smartwatches that didn’t make the cut and will henceforth be stuck on the Nougat version of Android Wear include the Asus ZenWatch 2 and 3, the LG G Watch R, Urbane and Urbane LT, the first Fossil Q Founder, the original Huawei Watch and the second-generation Moto 360 and 360 Sport. Google originally put Gc Connect on the list, but it removed the device from the updated record.

For owners of devices that will not be updated to the Oreo version of Android Wear, this isn‘t the end of the world yet. Google will still provide their smartwatches with Android Wear updates via the Play Store. The only downside is they cannot update to Oreo any longer and are therefore stuck on Nougat for good.

Here’s Google’s official list of smartwatches that are getting the Android Oreo treatment:

Android Wear Oreo(8.0) update is already available in the following watches:

  • Fossil Q Venture
  • LG Watch Sport
  • Louis Vuitton Tambour
  • Michael Kors Sofie
  • Montblanc Summit
  • Hugo BOSS BOSS Touch
  • Movado Connect
  • Tommy Hilfiger 24/7 You
  • Guess Connect

Watches that are currently pursuing the Android Wear Oreo (8.0) update:

  • Casio PRO TREK Smart WSD-F20
  • Casio WSD-F10 Smart Outdoor Watch
  • Diesel Full Guard
  • Emporio Armani Connected
  • Fossil Q Control
  • Fossil Q Explorist
  • Fossil Q Founder 2.0
  • Fossil Q Marshal
  • Fossil Q Wander
  • Huawei Watch 2
  • LG Watch Style
  • Michael Kors Access Bradshaw
  • Michael Kors Access Dylan
  • Michael Kors Access Grayson
  • MIsfit Vapor
  • Mobvoi Ticwatch S & E
  • Nixon Mission
  • Polar M600
  • TAG Heuer Tag Connected Modular 45
  • ZTE Quartz

The Android Wear 2.0 update that was launched this year runs on top of Android 7.0 Nougat. Now because Android 8.0 Oreo is already rolling out to many devices, it’s just right for the smartwatches to also get the same treatment, especially when some Nougat features will start to feel dated soon.

Last week, Google launched the Oreo-based Android Wear update to a number of smartwatches. The latest version of the smartwatch OS comes with changes and new features. For example, users will now have vibration strength settings for notifications. The update also brings touch lock, support for more languages and countries and battery-saving improvements to Android Wear devices.
