Angelina Jolie Signs Autograph For Fans After ‘Famous Feuds’ Explored Her Divorce
Angelina Jolie was recently spotted signing autographs for her fans outside the Directors Guild of America building in Los Angeles on Saturday.
In the photos released by Entertainment Tonight, the “Maleficent” star is seen wearing an all-black ensemble. The actress’ hair was also pulled back on a tight bun, and she had dark sunglasses on.
Jolie was present at The Contenders event on Saturday to promote her Netflix film, “First They Killed My Father,” which premiered on the popular streaming site last September. The film received rave reviews from fans and critics for the way Jolie was able to bring to life Loung Ung’s childhood memoir.
Meanwhile, before getting involved in “First They Killed My Father,” Jolie first made headlines due to her split from Brad Pitt. The actress decided to part ways with her husband in September of last year after two years of marriage and 12 years of being together.
According to multiple sources, Jolie cited their irreconcilable differences as the main reason for their split. However, Pitt’s excessive drinking also contributed to the death of their marriage. In order to try and win her back, Pitt reportedly stopped drinking. “He knew he had a problem that he had to take care of. And that’s all she ever wanted,” a source said.
In the court documents obtained by US Weekly, Jolie reportedly sought sole custody of her and Pitt’s six children. “Angelina Jolie has filed for dissolution of the marriage. This decision was made for the health of the family,” her rep said last year.
But a source recently told the same publication that Jolie and Pitt’s divorce is off. “The divorce is off. They haven’t done anything to move it forward in several months and no one thinks they are ever going to,” the source said. However, Jolie and Pitt have not confirmed or denied the status of their divorce.
Jolie and Pitt’s divorce became one of the most talked about fall outs of 2016. On Friday, the couple’s relationship was discussed in an episode of “Famous Feuds.”
