Angelina Jolie Threw Shade At Brad Pitt Following Their Split

Angelina Jolie threw shade at Brad Pitt when she made a reference to him for the first time after their split.

Pitt and Jolie announced their split in 2016. Following their separation, the “Maleficent” star kept their children but she was forced to allow them to see their father amid their custody battle.

According to BuzzFeed News, Jolie made a reference to her ex-husband for the first time in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar wherein she mentioned that she would like to move abroad with her children when they are 18 but at present they have to stay where their father “chooses to live.” The publication said that the “Salt” actress was throwing shade at her ex-husband with her statement.

It wasn’t the first time that Jolie took a swipe at the “Ad Astra” actor. In 2017, Jolie hinted that her movie “First They Killed My Father” was among the things behind the breakdown of her marriage with Pitt. She also discussed how their children were affected by their separation and said that no one ever stood by her side except for her kids. Her statement somehow reflected her relationship with her ex-husband.

“They really help me so much. We’re really such a unit. They’re the best friends I’ve never had. Nobody in my life has ever stood by me more,” Jolie said.

In related news, Jennifer Aniston refused to believe that Pitt left her for Jolie. Pitt and Aniston announced their amicable split in 2005. However, Pitt and Jolie were spotted shortly after their announcement frolicking at the beach with Jolie’s son, Maddox. The sight of the “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” stars triggered the rumors that Pitt had an affair with Jolie that prompted his separation from Aniston.

However, the “Murder Mystery” star didn’t believe the rumors. Also, she refused to feel that she’s a victim. The “Horrible Bosses” actress stressed that relationships involve two people and everyone is accountable.

Pitt and Aniston have rekindled their friendship years after their divorce. Last year, Pitt was present at Aniston’s 50th birthday bash and holiday party. The exes are expected to reunite again later this month for the Screen Actors’ Guild Awards.
