  • Angelina Jolie may have ripped off the idea behind a deaf character in "The Eternals"

Angelina Jolie took a break from the set of “The Eternals” to dine at the lavish Greek restaurant Estiatorio Milos in London on Sunday.

The actress was photographed in her beige trench coat, black pants, and a beige designer handbag. Brad Pitt’s ex-wife was accompanied by an unnamed female during her outing.

Jolie seemed looked elegantly chic during her visit to the restaurant. And the actress also seemed unfazed amid rumors that she stole her former employee’s idea regarding a deaf character in her upcoming movie.

Antoinette Abbamonte, who worked for Jolie from 2016 to 2019, is accusing the actress of ripping off her idea. She told Daily Mail that she realized that one of the characters in “The Eternals” had the same traits as hers.

In “The Eternals,” a deaf character named Makkari will be introduced, and she will be played by “The Walking Dead” star Lauren Ridloff.

Abbamonte revealed that after she mentioned her superhero idea to Jolie, the actress started asking her more questions. At some point, Abbamonte started feeling uncomfortable after Jolie started asking her too many questions about her deafness.

Shortly after hearing about the character of Makkari, Abbamonte emailed Jolie to ask straight out if the actress stole her idea. The mom of six gave Abbamonte a cryptic response.

“The universe works in mysterious ways,” Jolie wrote back.

“She treated me like a second-class citizen. That’s how I feel and I want to announce to the world that you can’t treat deaf people like that. She completely wrote me off,” Abbamonte said.

Meanwhile, Abbamonte’s attorney, Michael Ahmadshahid, Ph.D., already sent an official demand letter to Jolie’s team. The letter demands Jolie to give credit to Abbamonte’s idea and to compensate her for it.

As of late, Jolie and her team have not yet responded to Abbamonte. The latter crossed paths with Jolie after she was hired to teach the actress’ kids sign language.
