Angelina Jolie previously made headlines after she shockingly kissed her brother, James Haven, on the lips at an awards show.

During the 2000 Oscars, Jolie was accompanied by her brother to the formal event. Photos of the siblings show them locking lips with their eyes closed.

The controversial snap made headlines after Jolie declared that she’s so in love with her brother and declared that she’s nothing without him. Even though the siblings were met with criticisms because of their overly affectionate nature, Jolie didn’t seem to care.

During an episode of “Saturday Night Live” two decades ago, Jolie and Haven’s kiss was mocked. Jolie couldn’t help but defend her relationship with her brother.

“It wasn’t some open-mouthed kiss,” Jolie said. The actress also couldn’t believe how something so beautiful and pure was turned into a circus.

Shortly after, a friend close to Jolie and Haven revealed that the siblings were with their late mom, Marcheline Bertrand, who battled cancer before they went to the awards show.

As such, the siblings must have felt great to have been at the Oscars considering they were just taking care of their mom hours later. Jolie and Haven’s happiness and excitement to be together at the awards show might have encouraged them to kiss each other on the lips.

Meanwhile, Jolie also made headlines this week after it was reported that her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, has finally won the war waged against him by the “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” star.

In 2018, a source revealed that Jolie started a whisper campaign to paint Pitt as a deadbeat dad while they were fighting over the custody of their six children. However, Jolie’s attempts seemingly fell on deaf ears.

“I felt – and so did lots of us – that Brad was muted during his relationship with Angelina. He was distant. And now we have him back,” a source told Page Six.

Pitt is expected to make an appearance at the Oscars, but it is still unclear if Jolie will also be there.
