Anna Faris Admits She Knew Chris Pratt Would Propose Months Before He Did
Chris Pratt’s proposal to wife Anna Faris did not come as a surprise for her.
Faris, 40, revealed in her latest “Unqualified” podcast that she knew Pratt would propose to her “months” before the “Jurassic World” star popped the big question. “We had talked about getting married and were living together,” the “Scary Movie” star explained. “One day I found a bag from a jeweler of the floor of his truck, so I knew something was coming.”
Faris recalled that when the whole family flew to Italy, Pratt took the bag with him. But it took a couple of months before he asked her to marry him because the “Passengers” star waited for her birthday to propose. When he eventually popped the big question, he didn’t see the surprise on Faris’ face. “I confessed because he was like, ‘You knew this was coming,’” said “The House Bunny” actress.

Pratt and Faris met in 2007 on the set of “Take Me Home Tonight.” The couple bonded over their shared interest of collecting peculiar insects. They dated for two years before getting married in 2009. They share a son named Jack Pratt, 4.
In a 2015 interview with Redbook Magazine, Faris admitted that their son had been born premature, and his birth only brought them closer as a couple. “It’s one of those things that drives you apart or makes you closer. I think that being a father is very meaningful and rewarding to Chris. He's a great dad,” Faris said. “He’s a little more serious than he was before. It forces your hand. You really have to become an adult.”
Pratt and Faris share a happy and healthy relationship, but their marriage also had its fair share of troubles. In 2016, there were rumors that the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star had cheated on her.
The “Mom” star later admitted that even if she knew it was not true, she had still been affected by the rumors. “I just remember feeling so hurt in a way that bothered me, because I didn’t want to think of myself as somebody who could be affected by … tabloid,” Faris said in another podcast, as quoted by Us Weekly. “It made me feel incredibly insecure.”
