Anna Faris Feels ‘Nervous’ About Releasing Memoir: Find Out Why
A lot of people are eager to read Anna Faris’ new book “Unqualified,” hoping to understand what went wrong in her eight-year marriage with Chris Pratt.
It is probably for this reason that Faris feels nervous about her memoir’s release, which is set on Oct. 24. During the latest episode of her podcast, Faris confessed: “I feel really, really nervous because it feels really intimate. I’m excited and I … you know, when I first got the book deal I thought, ‘Oh, what a great adventure.’ Now that it’s getting closer, I feel, in a sense, that I got to always hide behind characters, and now this is me and it feels a little scary.”
Her co-host, Sim Sarna, then said that the book is actually very “revealing,” and he is surprised by all the things she shared.
But Faris replied, “It’s just my experiences. It’s just sort of how I felt as a really quiet kid with headgear, and then suddenly being an actress in L.A. and ... basically how I haven’t felt comfortable in my own skin.”
Pratt and Faris announced their separation earlier this August, much to the heartbreak of their fans. “Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating,” the ex-couple said in a statement. “We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”
Despite their separation, it looks like both stars are still in pretty good terms. Faris’ dad, Jack, even said that they remain good friends for the sake of their son, who is also named Jack.
“I can’t say much, but what I can say is that they are both wonderful loving people who respect each other,” Jack told Radar Online. “And right now we are just trying to do what’s best for our grandson.”
