  • Faris, who is engaged to Michael Barrett, hopes that she grew from her previous marital issues

Anna Faris revisited her previous marriages to Chris Pratt and Ben Indra and what she thought contributed to their splits.

Farris spoke with fellow actress Gwyneth Paltrow in her podcast "Anna Faris Is Unqualified" Monday. The two discussed their love lives and the "Scary Movie" star shared her experience being married to two actors before.

"My two other marriages were with actors and I don't think we did a great job of eliminating competitiveness," she was quoted by People as saying. "Or at least I didn't, being a proud person, and not wanting to reveal vulnerability."

Faris was previously married to Ben Indra from 2004 to 2008. A year later, she married Pratt and they were together until 2017, but their divorce was only finalized in November 2018.

"Any hint of competitiveness and comparison, I didn't handle that very well, I don't think. And I hope I've grown from that," she added.

Faris and Pratt announced their split in 2017on their respective social media accounts. However, a week prior to the announcement, she liked a divorce tweet that many thought was hinting at the state of her marriage at the time.

"We are sad to announce we are legally separating," Faris posted on Instagram. "We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake, we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still love each other and will always cherish our time together."

Pratt also posted the same message on his Facebook account. The "Jurassic Park" actor is already married to Arnold Schwarzenegger's daughter, Katherine. They tied the knot in an intimate wedding in June 2019. They welcomed their first baby, a girl named Lyla, in August 2020.

Meanwhile, Faris has been dating cinematographer Michael Barrett since 2017. They announced their engagement in February 2020. Faris confirmed it when she appeared on James Corden's "The Late Late Show." During her guesting, she joked that she could officiate her wedding.

"I could [officiate my wedding]. I need a lot of attention, James," she cheekily said.
