Anne Hathaway Confirms Pregnancy, Flaunts Baby Bump In Instagram Photo

Anne Hathaway confirmed her pregnancy, shut down pesky paparazzi and flaunted her growing baby bump all in one Instagram photo. The “Devil Wears Prada” actress, who’s about five months pregnant with her first child, took to the photo-sharing site to post a rare bikini photo during her beach vacation.

“Happy 2016 to my beautiful Instafriends! So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed," Hathaway wrote Sunday night. "I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter). Wishing you love, light and blessings for the year ahead.”

As previously reported, news broke in November that the 33-year-old actress was expecting, but Hathaway's Instagram picture is the first time she's addressed her pregnancy.

According to E! Online, she's already in her second trimester and a source said the actress is "feeling great." Even though Hathaway is staying relatively quiet about her pregnancy, the actress has long been open about her desire to start a family. In 2012, she told the Telegraph she wanted to be a mom since she was 16.

“I’m 30,” she said at the time. “And I want to have a family of a certain size… Look, I’ll start with one healthy kid, but I’d like to have a few naturally and adopt. I gotta get on it, you know? I’d like to have as many as I can afford, not just financially but in terms of time, because you want to make sure each one feels special.”

Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman, 34, are expected to welcome their baby in the first half of 2016. So far, the "Les Miserables" actress has not revealed if she's expecting a baby boy or girl.
