AOA's Seolhyun, Block B's Zico Dating: True Love Or Publicity Stunt? Idols' Agencies Speak Out

AOA's Seolhyun and Block B's leader Zico are definitely dating!

Rumors of the couple dating began spreading in forums earlier this year. However, it wasn't until Korean news outlet Dispatch released photos of the AOA singer and Block B rapper's secret dates that the speculation became widespread.

Now, FNC Entertainment, Seolhyun and her group's agency, has released a statement confirming the rumors to be true, Soompi reported.

“Relying on each other in difficult times, the two fostered interest in one another. They’re an industry sunbae (senior) and hoobae (junior) that are comfortable with each other. Please look upon them nicely," the agency wrote in their statement.

Zico and Block B's agency, Seven Seasons, also issued their own statement echoing FNC Entertainment.

“We confirmed with Zico following the reports, and he said he and Seolhyun have a close sunbae-hoobae relationship, and are getting to know each other," stated Seven Seasons. “[We] always respect our agency artists’ personal lives, and we ask that you watch the two kindly.”

Seolhyun and Zico reportedly started dating early this year and have been together for around five months, according to Dispatch (via Soompi).

On Tuesday, the news outlet released photos, taken early May, of the couple going on a date. In the images, Seolhyun could be seen getting into Zico's black Porsche, before they drive off together for a Han River date.

The couple managed to hide their relationship for nearly half a year since they reportedly always wore masks and caps to conceal their identities and avoided going on dates in public places. Seolhyun and Zico would often spend time together only in the producer's home or car, according to the publication.

A source connected to the two idols told Dispatch that the pair had grown close over the past few months as Zico became one of the people who stood by Seolhyun through the recent controversy she's had to face.

“When Seolhyun was having a tough time because of controversies, Zico was there for her, and she leaned on him a lot," claimed the insider.
