Apple recently released the first iOS 13.2 developer beta which introduces a whole new set of features and enhancements that will significantly improve the iPhone experience. Here are the new features coming in the first major iOS 13 point update.

Deep Fusion tech

Deep Fusion is a new image processing technology announced alongside the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. It works behind the scenesto improve the quality of photos taken in medium to low light settings. A Twitter user shared images comparing Deep Fusion and Smart HDR’s results, and it’s obvious that the new tech wins.

Siri to Announce Incoming Messages

Siri will again be able to read all incoming messages with iOS 13.2. This is a returning feature that can be toggled on and off.

A new Research option

Apple might release the Research app with iOS 13.2. This is evidenced by the new Research option that can be found in iOS’s Privacy settings.

Handoff

Those who own iPhones running the latest iOS beta will be able to transfer playback to their HomePod speakers using the convenient handoff feature provided the HomePod runs on the latest HomePodOS version. This is done simply put placing the iPhone controlling the playback near the top of the HomePod.

Playback Device Icon in Control Center

The volume indicator in Control Center now shows an icon representing the device used to play music. This means those who are using AirPods to listen to their music, for example, will see an AirPods icon in the volume indicator.

Hints of New AirPods

Speaking of AirPods, the iOS 13.2 code reveals a new AirPods icon, implying that Apple may be working on a new model with a totally different design. The new audio device might also feature noise cancellation features according to other references.

AirPlay Content to Apple TV Automatically

With iOS 13.2, iPhones can automatically AirPlay various content to an Apple TV. This feature will only work with apps frequently used to AirPlay to Apple TV.

Music App Listening History

The Music app will now show a user’s listening history

Close Windows easily

Safari windows can now be closed from the multitasking picker with a swipe.
