Apple iOS 14 Beta 3: What’s New?

Apple recently released the third iOS 14 beta for all developers. This beta comes about two weeks after the second beta and is released alongside other betas for watchOS 7, tvOS 14 and macOS 11 Big Sur.
The third beta features a slew of changes that Apple made to iOS 14. Here's a quick look at some of the tweaks Apple Insider found in iOS 14 beta 3.
Apps
Here are some new tweaks in relation to apps and the App Library:
- A new popup will appear when the App Library is accessed for the first time.
- Users will now be able to access an app icon's contextual menu while in the App Library list view.
- The Library view in the Music app now has new app icons.
- The Music icon now features a red background instead of white and has a white music note.
- Users will now be able to share Apple Music playlists, songs and albums to Snapchat Stories straight from the Music app.
- The Health app now gives users an option to be reminded to wash their hands when they get home.
Widgets
Here are some changes with iOS 14's widgets in the third beta:
- A new popup will appear when the widget editor is launched for the first time.
- Widgets will now jiggle when the user enters jiggle mode from the Home Screen.
- The Music widget now features a new colorful background, like the Music icon.
- The Clock app now has a widget.
- Screen Time widgets have been redesigned.
- iPadOS now has Weather widgets.
Home Screen
- Apple also added a new popup that will appear on-screen when users try to edit the Home Screen.
Other tweaks
Apple also included other tweaks to the third iOS 14 beta, such as the following:
- Users will now be able to use Display Zoom on iPhones with 5.8-inch screens. These include the iPhone X, iPhone XS and iPhone 11 Pro.
- The new mask face covering for Memoji now features more details.
- Support for on-device translation has been added, removing the feature's dependence on remote servers and mobile data.
- 3D Touch is temporarily removed.
These features come as an addition to those already introduced via iOS 14 beta 2. Apple is expected to release a new iOS 14 public beta, but the exact date of its arrival is unknown at the moment.
