Apple iPhone 6C Rumors Reveal Keys Specs; Handset Has Already Entered Production
The rumor mill has been claiming that Apple will be releasing a 4-inch iPhone in the future. Now, fresh rumors suggest that the production of the handset has already begun. Other sources suggest that the handset will be available by the first half of 2016.
According to MacRumors that cites information from the reliable Japanese blog, Mac Otakara, the handset that is said to be codenamed as “iPhone 5S Mark II” has already entered production and Apple may begin shipping of the handset soon. The alleged 4-inch iPhone 6C is said to be an upgraded edition of the iPhone 5S.
KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo had guessed that the iPhone 6C will be powered by Apple A9 processor. However, fresh information suggest that the handset will be coming with features from the sixth generation iPod Touch. It means that the iPhone 6C will be powered by Apple A8 chipset, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, v4.1 Bluetooth and enhanced front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture for FaceTime.
One should be aware of the fact that the Apple A8 SoC is the same chipset that powers the iPhone 6 and 6S Plus handsets that were released last year. WCCF Tech has speculated that since the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus also 1 GB of RAM for A8 chip, the iPhone 6C will be also coming with 1 GB of RAM. Apple may use an 8-megapixel iSight camera on the 4-inch iPhone.
Apple may want to make the 3D Touch exclusively available on the newly released iPhone 6S and 6S Plus handsets. Hence, the 3D Touch feature may not be coming to the iPhone 6C handset. Since the iPhone 6C is internally called “iPhone 5S Mark II”, the handset may come with Touch ID fingerprint scanner that is also available on the iPhone 5S.
