Apple iPhone 6S Retail Box Photos Surface Ahead Of Sept. 9 Launch; Rose Gold, Animated Wallpaper Hinted
At a time when only a few hours to go before Apple launches the highly-anticipated iPhone 6S and the bigger sibling iPhone 6S Plus on Wednesday, a new leak has suggested that there would be a 16 GB version of the new handset, meaning that earlier rumors pointing to a bump in the native storage of the basic model may not come true. In addition, a slew of images have also surfaced showcasing alleged iPhone 6S retail boxes, wrappers and wallpapers ahead of the device's launch.
A crystal clear shot of the alleged Apple iPhone 6S/6S Plus box, unearthed by Tech Tastic, shows a 16 GB storage variant. The leak also pointed toward the support for 3G and LTE connectivity, which includes the Chinese network connectivity options, indicating that a Qualcomm modem has been housed under the hood, Phone Arena reported.
Along with the leaked retail boxes, a wrapper pertaining to the rumored Rose Gold variant has also surfaced. There were many rumors surrounding the Rose Gold version in the run up to the launch date, but there was no hint of confirmation from any of the leaked sources.
However, the new wrapper adds credence to the earlier rumors. According to Phone Arena, the Rose Gold model is likely to come with a white front, but the rear shell could be in Rose Gold hue.
In addition, the Apple iPhone 6S depicted on the retail box apparently shows the same wallpaper render leaked earlier. This means, the rumored “animated wallpapers” might also come true, Phone Arena reported.
Here are the leaked images of the Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus boxes, wallpapers and wrappers:
