Apple October Event: What To Expect From Tim Cook’s Firm
Apple recently launched a slew of new hardware and released new OS updates as well. Despite that, it appears that the Cupertino tech giant isn’t done yet, and will be releasing more products and updates this month.
What are the things Apple can be expected to release this month? Here’s a quick glance at some of the things Cupertino promised and the things it is expected to unveil this October.
New hardware
Apple is expected to launch new hardware this month. Some of these have been officially announced earlier this year, and some of them are based on mere predictions from noted analysts.
- Mac Pro
The Cupertino tech giant announced the new powerful Mac Pro during WWDC this year. While the release date remains uncertain at the moment, the website for the Mac Pro indicates that it will arrive “this fall.” Fans, then, can expect to hear updates about it, or see it launched.
- Pro Display XDR
Along with the Mac Pro announcement came the unveiling of the Pro Display XDR, a standalone display expected to be released “this fall” as well. Those who want a standalone display with top-of-the-line specs should wait for updates this month or later.
- 16-inch MacBook Pro
Analysts expect the much-awaited 16-inch MacBook Pro to be released in October. The new laptop, which is expected to fetch a base selling price of $3,000, is expected to replace the current 15-inch MacBook Pro. The device is expected to have the same size as that of the outgoing 15-inch model, but will have a larger display and thinner bezels compared to the older one.
The new 16-inch MacBook Pro is also expected to feature a new keyboard that uses a new mechanism. This keyboard replaces the troubled butterfly keyboard featured in earlier models.
- A new iPad Pro
Apple might release a refresh of the iPad Pro just in time for iPadOS 13, 9To5Mac reported. The new iPad Pro might feature a camera setup similar to the new iPhone 11 lineup. While the device isn’t designed to be a photography tool, a new camera setup will allow it to be used for augmented reality applications. The new iPad Pro might also feature a new A13X Bionic chip, succeeding the A12X Bionic.
- Apple Tag
Apple Tag is a physical item tracker similar to the Tile line of products. This new device will integrate with iOS 13 to help users locate their lost belongings. It has technologies that will allow users to locate their lost items, as well as alert them if their iPhones and other Apple devices get too far away from the tag.
These are but some of the things Apple is expected to unveil or launch this month. Apple hasn’t said anything yet, so make sure to stay for updates as they come.
