Apple's Spaceship campus isn't supposed to open until late 2016 at the earliest, but already it is starting to take shape, as seen in new high-definition footage of the enormous campus that was captured recently by helicopter cameras.

The video, which can be seen at the bottom of this post, shows construction happening at the 176-acre Apple (AAPL) Campus 2, which will have an enormous glass-ring shape upon its completion. Based on renderings of the Cupertino, California, campus' design, many have described the building's look as UFO-like, and you can start to see that in the new video, which was shot by SkyCore, a company that provides aerial cinematography.

The video, which is accompanied by a "Batman"-esque soundtrack, shows a slew of cranes at work while trucks drive in and out of the campus. The Apple Spaceship campus is expected to be ready for by late 2016 or early 2017 at the latest. It is expected to accommodate around 12,000 Apple employees.

The building also will come complete with a 1,000-person auditorium where Apple is expected to hold press events and keynote addresses. An early look of the auditorium surfaced on the Internet last month thanks to video captured by drones.
