Apple Watch Series 5 Release Date, Features: Better Fitness Tracker Expected
The Apple Watch Series 5 release date is expected in September this year, and as early as now, fans can look forward to a wide range of health benefits that will surely give users that much-needed edge.
Based on recent announcements made during the last Apple World Wide Developers Conference, the Cupertino giant is coming up with a smartwatch that’ll aid people with hearing problems. Through a watchOS 6 feature which is expected to power the next Apple Watch, users can expect the Noise App which gives users a warning when noise in a certain place can harm one’s ears.
There’s also the Cycles App which helps women who need to track their menstrual cycle for fertility purposes. The app is expected to be part of the new watchOS so this could also be available in other Apple Watch models.
Aside from these two confirmed features, Apple analysts are still waiting for confirmation that there will be a sleep tracking option as well as a way to use the watch to measure one’s blood pressure. Now apart from these, the Apple Watch Series 5 could also become an effective fitness tool.
The Apple Watch 4 is already a good fitness gadget as it can automatically track exercise activities and send motivational reminders so users can complete a fitness regimen. Activity rings tell users the progress of a workout and it even works even if the fitness activity is done on a wheelchair.
But despite these capabilities, the Apple Watch still trails behind other smartwatches that seem to have better fitness options like the Polar V800, which determines training load analysis and even recovery analysis. It is also capable of analyzing speed and pace and creates a record so users can plan training sessions.
The Garmin Fenix 5 Plus, on the other hand, offers a wide and very detailed sports metrics for hardcore fitness buffs looking to improve their performance in sports like running, even more. The Apple Watch still needs to improve its features in this aspect so many Apple fans are hoping that similar features will be made available in Series 5.
As for the price, we know that there are powerful smartwatches out there that sell for less than $100 such as the Huawei Band 3e so perhaps Apple can finally offer something that’s not cheap but more affordable. In the best case scenario, the price of the Apple Watch won’t change for the new variant and could still be tagged at $399.
