Apple has announced its newest wireless headphones under the Beats brand – the Beats Solo Pro Wireless Noise Canceling headphones. Here's a quick look at its features, pricing and release date.

Previous reports said Apple is working on a pair of noise canceling AirPods models. The reports, based on animations hidden inside the iOS 13 code, didn't prepare people for what Apple actually prepared for the masses: a new noise canceling headphones under the Beats brand.

Apple has just announced the new Beats Solo Pro Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones, a pair of on-ear headphones designed to let users immerse themselves deeply in their music while staying aware of their surroundings. The new audio accessory is sold for $299.95 and will be shipped starting Oct. 29.

Features

The new Beats Solo Pro wireless builds off the award-winning sound of the Solo3 wireless headphones. Apple said it has an advanced acoustic platform that boasts of powerful, emotive sound and balanced tone.

Beats Solo Pro wireless has two listening modes: Active Noise Canceling (ANC) and Transparency mode. Each mode allows users to experience a different kind of listening environment, and users can switch between any of the two with a simple push of a button located on the left ear cup.

ANC uses Beats' proprietary noise canceling technology to tune out all ambient noise around the user. Apple said (as per MacRumors) this technology, called Pure ANC, uses advanced algorithms to monitor the noise in the environment and then uses acquired noise data to adjust the noise cancelation effects properly.

Transparency mode, on the other hand, turns external microphones on so that the user will be able to hear important things like conversations with friends, announcements being aired outside (like those at the train station) and other noises so that the user can stay aware of his surroundings while listening to music.

Solo Pro is able to last up to 22 hours of listening time with either Pure ANC or Transparency turned on. Turning the features off extends battery life by up to 40 hours. Should the battery drop to low levels in the middle of a listening session, users can simply plug it in for 10 minutes to enjoy 3 hours of listening time.

The new Beats Solo Pro Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones boasts of other features such as Audio Sharing, support for “Hey Siri,” Auto On/Off, and more. It's now available for preorder from Apple.
