Being a reality star can be a very lucrative gig, but it could be a pain to deal with if Uncle Sam doesn't get his cut. Reportedly, this is what "Teen Mom" stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are currently dealing with.

The MTV television couple, according to E! News who obtained documents, has racked up close to $1 million in overdue taxes.

In November 2019, Catelynn and Tyler were hit with federal tax liens for the years 2016 and 2017. According to the outlet, the tax documents revealed that the combined total owed in taxes for those years equaled $535,010.

One month, later $321,789 was added to that total for the 2018 year bringing the grand total to a whopping $856,799 in unpaid taxes.

The pair were also slapped $6,001 state tax lien in May 2019 but have reconciled the debt as of February.

The discovery of these tax liens comes just a few weeks after Tyler explained that his children, daughters Vaeda Luma Baltierra, 1, and Novalee Reign Baltierra, 5, were financially set on "The Awesome Dad Show" podcast on March 30.

"As far as getting compensated for the show, my kids are set for life, financially. College is paid for and that was mine and Catelynn's main thing—each of our children has trust funds that money goes into and they can't touch," the 28-year-old said.

"I have so much confidence and peace in how we're raising my children, they will be humble and will know the sacrifices we made," he added.

Catelynn and Tyler have been a part of the "Teen Mom" series for over a decade and still appear on the spin-off "Teen Mom OG," which is currently airing Season 8 on MTV.
