Fans of MTV's "Teen Mom OG" were left wondering what would happen to stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra when its eighth season ended in late 2018. Last season on the docuseries, the couple decided to take a one-month trial separation where they would live apart but would not date other people.

Thanks to last Monday's season premiere, fans no longer have to wonder what came of the pair. The married couple opened up about what happened during their time apart in the premiere and the things that they've learned.

"For the first week, it was like alright and then the second week was like alright I miss my wife," Tyler shared on the show. "Part of my duty is to be good for Catelynn, be good for my family. I got to be good too. It was the right thing to do."

Tyler revealed that during the time apart he focused on therapy, meditation and working out. "I'll never not take time for myself again. I'll never put myself on the back burner ever again and this has taught me that," he added.

It seems that both Lowell and Baltierra learned that they need to take time for themselves and came to the realization that they could survive by themselves as well. Even with these realizations, fans can rest assured this couple has no plans of splitting up anytime soon.

In an interview with E! News published on Monday, Catelynn explained, "I think the biggest misconception people had about the trial separation was that like, 'Oh my God, since you're gonna live separate and do this then you're automatically going to get a divorce, or you're automatically gonna want to see other people and it wasn't even like that."

"When we went through that trial separation period or whatever, we worked a lot on ourselves as individuals, but also ourselves as a couple," the 27-year-old explained. "I learned a lot of things for myself during that period of time in my life."

Catelynn isn't the only one who feels like their relationship is strong. Her co-star Amber Portwood shared her thoughts about the couple during the interview.

"You guys are forever," she gushed, to which Catelynn replied, "Yah, I think so."

"Teen Mom OG" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on MTV.
