Ariana Grande and husband-to-be Dalton Gomez stepped out for a dinner date in Los Angeles this weekend.
The “Thank U, Next” hitmaker was photographed rocking her signature ponytail when she exited a vehicle and made her way to Fia Restaurant with her fiancé. Grande donned a thick brown jacket and carried a metallic handbag. The singer’s engagement band was also visible in the photos obtained by Daily Mail.
Gomez, who has been working in the luxury real estate market for years now, kept a low profile by wearing black pants and plain purple sweater. He also accessorized with bracelets and a necklace. The couple also wore matching white face masks on their outing.
Grande and Gomez first made headlines when they were spotted by TMZ making out on Valentine’s Day last year. At the time, it was revealed that the two had been together for “months” prior that sighting.
The two have been hush-hush at first, but they dropped a bombshell when they made their romance public last May through the music video for her hit collaboration with Justin Bieber, “Stuck With U.” The two were seen kissing in the lockdown-themed video.
In December, the singer-songwriter announced their engagement on Instagram. Grande simply shared a series of photos and one of them featured a pearl and diamond ring. She also confirmed their engagement in the caption that read, “Forever n then some.”
Many were shocked by the engagement news, even Grande’s pals were reportedly surprised. A source told Entertainment Tonight in January that her friends felt it was rushed. “They’re very in love right now, but friends think the engagement was somewhat rushed and are skeptical that the relationship will ultimately be short lived,” the source said.
As for Grande’s family, they were very supportive. An insider even told People that the singer’s family approved of Dalton for her and that they were elated after learning about their engagement.
“Ari's family is very happy. Everyone loves Dalton. He is great for Ari. This phase of her life has been very quiet and uneventful in a good way. They are very happy that she is marrying Dalton,” the insider said.
Prior to meeting Dalton, Grande was engaged to “Saturday Night Live” funnyman Pete Davidson. Their engagement lasted only four months and they officially called it quits in October 2018.
