Is ‘Arrow’ On Tonight? CW Delays Season 7, Episode 18
“Arrow” fans are still reeling from the news that Emily Bett Rickards will leave the role of Felicity this season, and they won’t even have the comfort of seeing her on TV this week. The CW has delayed the next new episode, and when it returns, the show will air at a new time.
On Monday, “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” will air a new episode at 8 p.m. EDT, followed by a new episode of “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” (an appropriate choice for April Fool’s Day).
Next week won’t bring a new episode of “Arrow” either, unfortunately. “Legends” will air another new episode at 8 p.m. EDT on April 8 followed by a rerun of “Arrow” (It’ll be “Emerald Archer,” the series’ 150th episode).
Finally, on Monday, April 15, “Arrow” will air a new episode in its new 9 p.m. EDT timeslot. Season 7, episode 18, titled “Lost Canary,” is a Birds of Prey-themed episode. It’ll unite all of the Black Canaries.
When “Arrow” left off, Laurel (Katie Cassidy Rogers) was accused of murder, and she’ll go back to her Black Siren ways in the wake of the news. “While Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) aims to bring Laurel in, Felicity refuses to give up on her friend and tries everything to get through to her, even summoning Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) for help,” the synopsis says.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like Laurel wants help. In the promo video, she tells someone that their friendship was “an act,” and the logline adds that her rebuffs are “forcing the former friends to face off against each other.”
The episode had some girl power behind the camera as well. Kristin Windell directed Season 7, episode 18, which was written by Jill Blankenship and Elisa Delson.
“Arrow” returns with new episodes on April 15 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
