‘Ash Vs. Evil Dead’ Season 2 Spoilers: New Season Of Starz Show More Action-Packed; ‘The Evil Is Really Bad,’ Says Bruce Campbell
“Ash vs. Evil Dead” Season 2 will be more challenging for Ash, according to actor Bruce Campbell.
In a featurette for the upcoming installment, the actor said that even though Ash looks nonchalant, the problems he will be facing when he returns to his hometown will be grave.
In one part of the clip, Campbell teased: “It's good versus evil, but our good is not that good, and the evil is really bad.”
Aside from new enemies, Ash will also need to deal with ghosts from his past. In Elk Grove, Ash has earned himself a reputation. After killing his friends when he was younger – for good reason, of course – people from his town have tagged him as Ashy the Slashy.
Ash will also have to interact with his father Brock (Lee Majors), and judging from how similar their characters are, things are bound to be a riot. The character will also reunite with his former enemy, Ruby (Lucy Lawless), and their relationship will take a turn for either the better or the worse.
The synopsis for the season reads: “The second season roars back into action with Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil.”
Prior to the release of the featurette and the synopsis, a peek at Ash's childhood bedroom had already been teased.
Speaking of the place's design, production designer Nick Bassett told JoBlo: “Ash's bedroom is a time capsule. It's a little piece of the '70s and '80s nostalgia or a very focused trip down Michigan memory lane.”
Joining the second season of the series are Joel Tobeck, Ray Santiago and Dana DeLorenzo.
“Ash vs. Evil Dead” Season 2 will premiere Oct. 2 on Starz.
