AT&T Roadmap Leak Discloses Android Gingerbread and Windows Smartphones; First Preview of What to Expect
Gadget geeks can rejoice as AT&T's roadmap leak has put up a list of upcoming Android Gingerbread and Windows smartphones. The leaked list has brought forward many upcoming smartphones.
The devices that have been lined up for release on AT&T include Android 2.3 or Gingerbread juice-based smartphones. The list also includes BlackBerry smartphones – BlackBerry Danava 9860 and BlackBerry Maero 9360.
The handsets that have lined up are a pair of Windows Phone Mango handsets, the Samsung Kupua i937 and the HTC Bunyip. Both the handsets are expected to arrive in the fourth quarter. Both the devices boast big batteries and have 512 MB of RAM. The Bunyip is likely to be either HTC Omega or HTC Eternity that is expected Sept. 1.
The Android smartphones up for grabs include the Samsung i777, which is the upcoming Galaxy S II Attain and is scheduled for a release in the third quarter along with the anticipated Samsung Galaxy S2.
The other Android phone is the Motorola MB865, also known as Atrix 2, which is rumoured to be a 4G LTE device, according to a pocketnow.com report.
Previously, an Italian Web site, Telefonino, revealed a list of Samsung’s upcoming smartphones that was leaked to it. Three models in the list were the Andorid-based GT-B5510, the S5360 and the S5610. The first model is expected to run Android 2.2 (Froyo), while the other two will be running on Gingerbread juice.
Telefonino said that the 2.8-inch B5510 will have an 800MHz chipset, a three-megapixel rear camera, Wi-Fi and a physical QWERTY keyboard. The other two will arrive with a 3-inch and a 2.4-inch screen respectively.
Samsung, however, said in a statement that the news regarding the roadmap for its smartphones and tablet that should arrive later this year are not accurate.
