Ava Philippe Shares Beauty Tip By Mom Reese Witherspoon: ‘I Think It’s True’

Ava Philippe shared a unique beauty tip that her mom, Reese Witherspoon, goes by.

"If you want to look and feel your best, my motto is always pretty is as pretty does," the 22-year-old told E! News exclusively at The Zoe Report’s annual ZOEasis retreat in Palm Springs Saturday.

"It's a big ole Southern saying that my mom has always said to me. I really think it rings true and that's my biggest people of advice: if you treat other people with kindness and you treat yourself with kindness, you are going to glow from within."

"I know it's cheesy but it's so real. I really believe it,” she continued.

As for her outfits during the glitzy Coachella weekend, Witherspoon and Ryan Philippe’s daughter cited some practical tips on dressing up for the occasion.

"I first think, how hot is it going to be and what do I want to wear all day?" she told the outlet. "What am I going to feel comfortable in? What's not going to be too revealing for me? I also think boho, light colors and then I add my own little flare to it like a studded belt or a cute shoe and really embrace what I'm wearing."

Philippe wore a white baby doll-inspired dress which she paired with a pair of ankle-length white boots, wavy hair and a pair of sunglasses.

"I've just been hanging out in the sunshine with my friends and my boyfriend and enjoying being outside with other people," Philippe also told E! "It's such a lovely memory to create."

Rachel Zoe hosted the sixth ZOEasis during Coachella weekend on Saturday. Aside from Philippe, the event also saw other celebrities such as Keke Palmer, Olivia Culpo, Behati Prinsloo, Ni cole Scherzinger, Ella Purnell, Samantha Hanratty, Jabari Banks, and Gavin Leatherwood among others.

Billie Eilish headlined Saturday’s Coachella’performances and sang her biggest hits for 90 minutes with special appearances from Khalid and Gorillaz singer Damon Albarn.

On the personal front, Witherspoon seems to be very supportive of her daughter’s relationship with Owen Mahoney. The actress earlier dropped a sweet message on her daughter’s Instagram page when Philippe posted a photo of her and her beau at Austin Bat Bridge in Texas in June 2021.
