‘Avengers: Endgame’ Blu-ray, Digital, OnDemand And Streaming Release Dates Revealed
“Avengers: Endgame” is hitting theaters with a special re-release on June 28, but it won’t be long before Marvel fans can experience the epic three-hour movie from the comfort of their own home. Release dates have been revealed for Blu-ray, digital and streaming.
Digital: Tuesday, July 30 is the digital release date. “Avengers: Endgame” will be available to download in Digital in HD and 4K Ultra HD.
Physical: Those who want a physical release can get it on Blu-ray, DVD or 4K Ultra HD on Tuesday, Aug. 13. There will be special editions available at Best Buy and Target.
OnDemand: Anyone looking to rent the movie on their TV can also get it on Tuesday, Aug. 13.
Streaming: As previously reported, “Avengers: Endgame” will not be available on Netflix. It will be on Disney+ on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
It looks like there will be plenty of special features on the “Avengers: Endgame” home release. Bonus content includes:
- A Stan Lee tribute
- Robert Downey Jr.’s casting featurette
- Evolution of Captain America featurette
- Black Widow featurette
- Directors Anthony and Joe Russo talk making “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame” back-to-back
- Battle scene with the female Marvel superheroes featurette
- Creation of Bro Thor featurette
- Deleted scenes (titled “Goji Berries,” “Bombs on Board,” “Suckiest Army in the Galaxy,” “You Used to Frickin’ Live Here,” “Tony and Howard” and “Avengers Take a Knee”)
- Gag reel
- Early digital viewers get an exclusive Steve and Peggy featurette
- Intro by the Russo Brothers
- Audio commentary by the Russos and writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely
It isn’t clear if anything from the June re-release will be included on the home release. The new version, hitting theaters Friday, will include an introduction from Anthony Russo, an “unfinished” deleted scene and a sneak peek at “Spider-Man: Far From Home.”
“Avengers: Endgame” was released April 26, and it is the culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far. The movie features the heroes trying to get their friends back after Thanos’ decimation, and it wraps up a few heroes’ arcs along the way.
The movie has been a massive box office success. It has earned over $2.5 billion and is less than $40 million away from beating “Avatar” as the highest earning movie ever at the worldwide box office.
