‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Trailer: Chris Pratt Talks About ‘Scary Thanos’
In order for a superhero movie to be really effective, having a good villain is a must. “Avengers: Infinity War” has Thanos (Josh Brolin), and he was featured heavily in the trailer that was recently released by Marvel.
Chris Pratt, who joins the movie as Star-Lord, thought Thanos was pretty “scary” and even posted about the villain on Instagram. The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star recalled how much money he spent on comic books as a young boy, and how Thanos stood out in “The Infinity Gauntlet.”
Thanos really beat up the members of the Avengers, including Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). However, what fans noticed the most was not how powerful the villain appeared to be, but how different Captain America looked since he had on a beard.
The reactions of netizens were pretty hilarious.
Another scene-stealer from the trailer is T’Challa, more popularly known as the Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman). In the trailer, the superhero was seen defending his homeland, Wakanda, from an attack by Thanos and Black Order forces.
According to Comic Book, Thanos’ attack in Wakanda might be for the Soul Stone - the final Infinity Stone to be found in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Nothing is confirmed at this point, but the trailer already showed Thanos being successful in his quest for The Mind, Power, and Space stones.
The Mind Stone was first used by Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in his scepter, which gave him the ability to control the minds of others, while the Power Stone used to be in the hands of the Nova Corps. On the other hand, the Space Stone was last seen in Odin’s treasure room.
As for the Reality Stone, it appeared in “Thor: The Dark World” in the form of “Aether.” The Time Stone made its appearance in “Doctor Strange,” which was contained within the Eye of Agamotto.
The only thing missing at this point is the Soul Stone. If it is indeed in Wakanda, hopefully T’Challa and his friends would be able to conceal it from the villain.
“Avengers: Infinity War” hits theaters on May 4, 2018.
