Avril Lavigne Bar Fight: Singer ‘Attacked by 5 People’

Avril Lavigne is nursing some face wounds with a Hello Kitty ice pack after the singer was allegedly involved in a bar fight early Sunday morning.

The 27-year-old was at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel with boyfriend Brody Jenner, when the two were attacked just outside the venue.

I don't fight. I don't believe in it. To clear things up I got attacked by 5 people last night out of nowhere. Not cool. My face is fu**ed, Lavigne wrote on Twitter following the incident.

As in black eye, bloody nose, hair ripped out, scratches, bruises and cuts. So not ok to be abusive to others. Violence is NEVER the answer, she added.

Jenner, 28, tried to break things up during the 1 a.m. scuffle but instead got smashed in the head with a bottle. The man with the bottle reportedly called Jenner a douche prior to the head smashing, a source told TMZ.

Brody and Avril didn't do anything to start the fight . . . just a bunch of drunk people getting out of hand, the source added.

Like his girlfriend, Jenner also took to Twitter to update his fans and followers on the bar fight aftermath.

Interesting Saturday night... Just got [out] of the hospital with a new scar on my face.. Charges/chargers!! Jenner wrote.

Hours earlier, Lavigne and Jenner were having a regular night out on the town.

Lavigne, who first rose to fame with her 2002 hit Complicated, recently wrapped the North American leg of her tour, The Black Star Tour, in support of her latest album, Goodbye Lullaby.

The Canadian rocker is scheduled to perform at the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Nov. 24.

Jenner, who is the stepbrother of the Kardashian siblings, is perhaps most famous for his reality TV shows The Princes of Malibu, The Hills and Bromance.

His previous flames have included former Playmate of the Year Jayde Nicole, Lauren Conrad, Nicole Richie and Kristin Cavallari.

In November 2010, Lavigne and guitarist Derek Whibley finalized their divorce after three years of marriage.

Lavigne and Jenner have been dating since January 2010.

No arrests have been made from the Sunday morning bar fight.
