‘The Bachelor’ 2020 Spoilers: Does Hannah Brown Really Join Peter Weber’s Season?
ABC has already revealed Peter Weber’s “The Bachelor” contestants, but Monday night’s new trailers for the upcoming season seemed to tease there would be a new addition -- his ex and former “The Bachelorette” star Hannah Brown.
During ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” finale, the network aired the above first extended look at Peter’s installment. The final moments of the trailer showed Hannah appearing to tell Peter there is “still something there” between them. What follows is him seemingly asking her to join his season.
“What I’m about to say is extremely crazy,” he says. “What would you say if I asked you to come be part of the house?”
A second new trailer for the series that also premiered during the “DWTS” finale showed more of Hannah's involvement in “The Bachelor” Season 24. In the followup teaser she can be seen showing up to the Bachelor Mansion during the premiere, much to the upset of Peter’s contestants.
So, will Hannah compete for Peter’s heart on next year’s “The Bachelor”? While the trailers make it appear she will, spoiler blogger Reality Steve has reported it is all just a gimmick.
“B4 everyone freaks out when first promo airs tonight, Hannah WAS NOT a contestant on Peters season. She gets out of the limo to talk to him night 1 (didn’t join the party), & shows up on a date in ep 3 again to talk,” he revealed on Twitter on Monday.
According to his findings, both events were filmed in Los Angeles where Hannah was filming “Dancing With the Stars” at the time. “She just took a couple hrs off ‘DWTS’ to do it,” he explained.
This isn’t the first time Reality Steve has spoken out about Hannah’s involvement with Peter’s season. In October, he reported on his blog that Peter cancelled one of his group dates because he was “sick” but still showed up to the event’s venue. The date in question was reportedly going to be hosted by Hannah and feature the contestants telling “embarassing sex stories.”
“Hannah showed up and had a talk with Peter, and Peter got emotional about it. Told the women he needed to sort through his feelings and sent them home for that portion of the date. But there was a night portion to the date, so this was something done for dramatic purposes.”
He continued, “So while this is a MAJOR deal right now and everyone’s gonna freak out saying Peter’s still in love with Hannah, I don’t see it that way at all. They’re using Hannah to create a storyline, there’s probably some lingering feelings on Peter’s end, but not enough to completely derail a whole season...The first 3 episodes of this season will have a ‘Is Peter over Hannah’ storyline lingering over it.”
Bachelor Nation can catch Hannah and Peter’s reunion on “The Bachelor” when it premieres Monday, Jan. 6, 2020, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
