'Bachelor' Alum Sharleen Joynt, Andy Levine Tie The Knot In NYC
Sharleen Joynt and Andy Levine are officially married!
On Friday, the "Bachelor" alum and Levine exchanged "I do's" in a small ceremony in New York City's Battery Park City neighborhood. Joynt announced her wedding on Instagram by sharing a photo of herself and Levine. "Today's the day! I'm marrying this #silverfox tonight and couldn't be happier," she wrote in the caption.
The couple opted for an intimate wedding, inviting only 100 guests, Us Weekly reported. Among the couple's wedding guests are their closest family and friends, which included "Bachelor" Nation stars Andi Dorfman, Kelly Travis, Nick Viall, Chris Soules, Becca Tilley and Caila Quinn. "I could not be more happy because we wanted 100 [guests], we're always told 20 percent won't be able to come, so we overshot it. It's magic that it came out right at 100,” Joynt told the publication.
As for their wedding theme, Joynt opted for something non-traditional. The reality star admitted that she's not fond of white and blush and instead wanted a moody, chic vibe that is classic but at the same time not classically bridal.
"I knew I wanted something modern, that I would never get sick of, it was a hard combination to find," Joynt explained. "I knew I wanted something moody, I know that sounds weird. But I didn’t want pink, white and blush, so the colors are black and white and we’re using dark elements, dark flowers, black candles on the tables."
Joynt and Levine's wedding was planned by Erganic Design and produced by Be Inspired RR. It included a 30-minute outdoor ceremony and a subsequent cocktail hour. The newlyweds had their first dance to Frankie Valli's "I Can't Take My Eyes Off of You."
Levine and Joynt got engaged in February 2015. The opera singer announced it on social media. According to Joynt, she has been skeptical when it comes to love and often wondered if someone else was a better fit for her. She admitted to doubting her choices as she was rarely certain when it came to making decisions. But she was sure when she said "yes" to Levine's proposal.
Joynt and Levine's wedding was supposed to be held last October. However, the singer got an exciting career offer so they decided to move the date.
