‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Stars Evan Bass, Carly Waddell Tie Knot With Chris Harrison Officiating Ceremony
Former “Bachelor in Paradise” cast members Evan Bass and Carly Waddell walked the aisle and exchanged wedding vows over the weekend. The reality TV couple was joined by “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison on their special day as the officiator of the ceremony.
On Saturday, Bass and Waddell married at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta resort near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico — the setting of the ABC reality series. Harrison was revealed to have officiated the wedding ceremony, which was attended by “Bachelor” alums Tanner Tolbert, Jade Roper and many others, Entertainment Tonight has learned.
Bass and Waddell’s wedding was filmed by ABC, but other details about the occasion have not been disclosed. The footage was supposed to be aired in the new season of the series, but the executives changed the plan after the show got suspended following a sex scandal involving Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson. ABC has since decided to air the couple’s wedding special later this year.

The former single dad is quite thankful to the show for serving as the venue for him to meet his wife. Last year’s Season 3 finale saw Bass, who has three sons from a previous relationship, asking Waddell to marry him. The latter said yes to the proposal, and they’ve been engaged for less than a year before tying the knot this week.
After hearing what happened to the new season of the show, Bass couldn’t help but write about it in an op-ed piece for The Hollywood Reporter. In his article, Bass admitted that the scandal broke his heart and that he actually begged the network to spare the show from cancellation. For Bass, “Bachelor in Paradise” brought him “personal redemption” by helping him find “an incredible stepmother” for his kids.
In January, Waddell opened up about what life was like for her after joining the “Bachelor” spinoff. “I was really nervous going home after ‘Paradise’ because I was like, ‘What is my life going to be like? Are the kids going to like me?’” she said, before revealing that she and Bass’ sons clicked instantly. “It’s just been so easy. The boys were so kind to me from the moment I met them, and it’s gotten better and better and better. We all really love each other.”
