Backstreet Baby: AJ McLean, Wife Expecting First Child, Announce Pregnancy on YouTube [VIDEO]
Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean and his wife Rochelle DeAnna Karidis are expecting their first child together.
The couple made the baby announcement on Sunday via a YouTube video.
What's up you guys, it's A.J. and Rochelle. I just wanted to say thank you guys for all your love and support. We recently got married -- I was the most recent Backstreet Boy to take the plunge. Thank you guys for all your love and support. Because we love you all so much, we wanted to share with you, for the first time, something very special . . . we're having a baby! McLean, 34, said with a big smile on his face.
The singer also made the announcement on Twitter, writing I'm gonna be a dad! along with a link to the YouTube video.
The baby news comes more than four months after McLean and Karidis tied the knot at the Beverly Hills Hotel. According to People, the couple exchanged vows under a gazebo as guests were surrounded by romantic chandeliers.
McLean and the Backstreet Boys are currently on the European leg of their tour with New Kids on the Block, under the super group name NKOTBSB. The group is due in the Netherlands on Tuesday, before hitting Belgium, Switzerland and Germany.
In other Backstreet Boys news, former member Kevin Richardson is not so former anymore. During NKOTBSB's London show this past weekend, Nick Carter and Brian Littrell let the screaming crowd in on a little secret.
We are going to be back in July to record the next Backstreet Boys album this year, Carter said.
To which Littrell added, There's two parts to that secret. You told the first one, should I tell the second one? Kevin is coming back!
Richardson, 40, who left the group nearly six years ago, confirmed the return on Twitter.
Hello beau-ti-ful people. Yes, the cat is OFFICIALLY out of the bag. It's on and crackin! he wrote on Monday.
