Casey Anthony’s lawyer Jose Baez spoke to Geraldo Rivera of Fox News Channel in an exclusive interview, but the viewers got no idea about where Casey is holed up after her release or what her mental status is currently.

However, Baez touched upon the intense popular anger against the court verdict that acquitted her of a horrible crime charge and set her free. We need to start respecting the jury verdict and decisions that the juries make.” Baez said.

He also denied rumors that Casey had landed a lucrative million-dollar contract for an exclusive media interview. “I heard just heard on your network someone is claiming that there is a deal for a million dollars. That is not so ... I was going to meet with the individual and hear whatever offer he wanted to make,” he said.

Rivera, who praised Baez for his smart work in the case, did not ask him where Casey is now. And Baez refused to tell Rivera about the mental status of his client. “I’m not a therapist. I’m a lawyer,” he said.

Baez, who shot to fame and celebrity status after pulling Casey out from the jaws of capital punishment, said he will continue to be Casey's attorney.

Acquitted of the charge of killing her two-year-old daughter, Casey Anthony was released from an Orlando prison, only to walk into a chequered world of freedom where more media scrutiny, public remonstration and hate attacks await her.

There was speculation she left city to Ohio, her parents' home state, but that theory was debunked later on after it was confirmed that the private jet that left Orlando Executive airport immediately after Casey left the courthouse in an SUV had carried some golfers.

Restaurant owner Jeff Ruby published half page newspaper advertisement criticizing the verdict to acquit her and likening it to the OJ Simpson acquittal. Ruby said he will not let Casey dine at his restaurant. Ruby had famously kicked out OJ Simpson from his Louisville restaurant Jeff Ruby's.

Hecklers and demonstrators outside the jail said bad days will continue for Casey even if she was after three years. “She is safer in jail than she is out here,” said a protestor named Mike Quiroz.
