Baltimore Ravens Playoffs: Who Will They Play Next? Texans, Bills, Titans Are Possible Opponents
The Baltimore Ravens had an NFL-best 14-2 record in the regular season, giving the AFC North champions the conference’s No.1 seed and a first-round bye. As Lamar Jackson and Co. watch Wild-Card Weekend 2020, there are three teams Baltimore has to concern itself with.
Even if the New England Patriots win their wild-card matchup, the Ravens can’t play the defending Super Bowl champs in the second round of the NFL playoffs. The Houston Texans, Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans are Baltimore’s three possible opponents for the divisional round.
If the Titans beat the Patriots Saturday night, they will guarantee themselves a meeting with the Ravens. Tennessee is the No.6 seed and a 4.5-point underdog in New England, according to OddsShark.
A win for the Patriots would set up a 2019 AFC Championship Game rematch. New England is favored to visit the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the postseason.
A Patriots’ victory would mean the Ravens will host the winner of the first AFC wild-card game. The Texans will host the Bills Saturday afternoon. Houston is a 2.5-point favorite.
Baltimore has already beaten Houston handily at home this season. The Texans never stood a chance in their 41-7 loss in Baltimore in Week 11, trailing 24-0 midway through the third quarter.
The Ravens beat the Bills 24-17 on the road in Week 14. Baltimore led the entire game, though Lamar Jackson was held to 185 passing and rushing yards combined.
Tennessee and Baltimore have not met this season. The Ravens defeated the Patriots 37-20 in Week 9, giving New England its first loss of the year.
Baltimore was beaten by the Los Angeles Chargers on Wild-Card Weekend last year in Jackson’s first playoff start. The Ravens haven’t won a playoff game since the 2014 season.
