Bamboozle 2012 Lineup: Blink-182 Cancels Saturday, May 19 Performance, My Chemical Romance Replaces
The 2012 Bamboozle Festival is a little over a week away, and Saturday's headliner, Blink-182, has pulled out of its performance. My Chemical Romance is set to replace the band.
The Festival announced on its website that Blink-182 had to cancel its set due to an emergency tonsillectomy for drummer Travis Barker.
Blink-182 will be greatly missed, and all of us at the Bamboozle extend our thoughts and best wishes to Travis for a speedy recovery, the website said. However, we are pleased to announce My Chemical Romance who will perform before the Foo Fighters on the Main Stage on Saturday, May 19.
Bamboozle's head honchos are quick with the replacement: My Chemical Romance's picture already replaces Blink-182's.
My Chemical Romance are New Jersey locals, and they are currently in studio working on their fifth album. The band is well known for their songs, I'm Not Okay (I Promise), Helena and Welcome to the Black Parade.
Other bands set to share the Asbury Park venue with My Chemical Romance and the Foo Fighters are the All-American Rejects, DJ Pauly D, Jimmy Eat World, Less Than Jake, Motion City Soundtrack and many more.
The three-day festival is being held in Asbury Park, N.J., Friday, May 18, to Sunday, May 20.
