Barcelona Prospect Hints At Move To Camp Nou On Social Media

A Barcelona prospect may have just revealed that he is already Camp Nou bound.

In recent weeks, Barcelona have been topping the La Liga in terms of transfer rumors. With reports claiming the Catalans are willing to put half of their current roster on sale, it is highly likely that the club will be closing massive deals this summer.

One of the names being mentioned is Sergiño Dest, a rising star from Ajax academy. It was previously reported that Barcelona have been “occasionally” monitoring Dest’s situation. However, the sensational full-back may have made his rumored Barcelona move more likely after sharing images of him wearing Barca's hoodie while at home.

On Saturday, Dest gave Barca fans' hopes with a story he uploaded to his official Instagram account (via Besoccer.com). In it, the defender could be seen wearing a Barcelona hoodie while holding a razor in his hand which seems to suggest he is going to shave his hair.

Dest’s move to Camp Nou is believed to be viable as reports claimed that there has always been a close relationship between the Ajax and Barcelona ever since signing of Frenkie De Jong.

The 19-year-old defender emerged as one of the most promising players in Dutch football. This has led to Barcelona putting him under their radar. It could become more relevant for Barca to consider signing Dest should they really decide to let go of their current defender Nelson Semedo soon.

Based on recent analysis, Dest is viewed as a versatile player who can work from both right and left. He has played 35 matches and started 27 times. Overall, Dest has already scored 2 goals and completed 5 assists in his first impressive season in the Eredivisie.

Meanwhile, another Ajax defender seems to be a good fit for Barcelona as well. Nicolas Tagliafico has been very vocal about his plans of leaving Ajax for bigger clubs. As expected, one of the teams mentioned as his suitor was Barcelona.

Tagliafico is reportedly eager to reunite with Lionel Messi, his Argentina side teammate. However, the 27-year-old doesn’t want to spoil their possible reunion at this point. According to Tagliafico, he’s staying calm until something “concrete” happens.

“I'm trying to think about my condition, to stay fit as possible in case I go to another club. I'm standing on the sidelines. Maybe I'm on [Barcelona’s] list, but there is nothing concrete. You must stay calm. I'm also trying to stay calm. If something happens then I'll talk with my agent,” Tagliafico said of Barcelona talks.
