Barron Trump has enrolled in an exclusive private school in Palm Beach, Florida, for the new school year.
A spokesperson for Oxbridge Academy announced earlier this week that Melania and Donald Trump's 15-year-old son has enrolled in the elite school as part of the class of 2024, People reported.
"We look forward to welcoming him into our school and community," Scott Siegfried, the school's director of advancement, was quoted by the outlet as saying.
Siegfried told The Palm Beach Post that it will be the first time Oxbridge Academy has had to deal with Secret Service, who are cooperating with officials to make sure they "have little impact on [the school's] day-to-day operations."
"They've done this for other former presidents' kids. They're fantastic," he added.
A spokesperson for the Trump family also confirmed Barron's enrollment to People. However, no further details were revealed on the matter.
Oxbridge Academy, located in West Palm Beach, was founded in 2011 by billionaire William Koch, a previous fundraiser of Trump's campaigns and brother to Republican mega-donors Charles and David Koch. According to its website, 77% of the school's faculty hold advanced degrees and 40% of its approximately 500 students receive financial aid.
The school offers individualized attention and small class sizes with over 170 courses, and its student athletes have won several state championships and dozens of regional and district titles. The academy also has lively curriculum choices for their students, including spirit week, field trips and student clubs, their website said.
Tuition for Oxbridge Academy's high school for the 2021-2022 school year is $34,800, according to its website.
Barron's new school is only a 15-minute drive from their Mar-a-Lago Club, where he and his parents have been staying since they left the White House.
But while they are now living in Palm Beach, the Trump family still visits their home in New York City from time to time.
In July, Melania and Barron were photographed together leaving Trump Tower where they stayed while in the Big Apple. In photos of the rare appearance, the teen towered over the former first lady as he helped his mom carry her limited edition orange Louis Vuitton x Richard Prince bag.
Barron's parents appeared to have spent the summer separately. The former president headed to his club in Bedminster, New Jersey, sans his wife and son after they celebrated Mother's Day together in Mar-a-Lago.
Michael Wolff, the New York Times bestselling author of "Landslide: The Final Days of the Trump Presidency," claimed that Donald and Melania are not together most of the time and that "nobody really knows" where the former first lady lives.
"[Melania] is not with him a lot of the times," he told Daily Mail in an exclusive interview in July. "This was true when he was in the White House and it's true now. People around Trump still have questions, but they don't want to ask those questions. It remains the third rail that nobody wants to touch."
